1f2a518ee2 Clean up and simplify code to find marks before and after a position, and hence improve snap to markers so that both start and end positions of a range marker are taken into account.

2898c4fa70 Make the behaviour zoom to region more intuitive (IMHO); ie always zoom to the selected region. Not quite sure what the zoomed_to_region flag was intended to achieve. Fixes mantis 2154.

79f91c7a20 Part 1 of loading 2.X sessions; some things work, some things don't, hacks a-plenty. 
LOADING 2.X SESSIONS WITH THIS COMMIT IN PLACE WILL (PROBABLY) CORRUPT THE .ardour FILE,
MAKING THE SESSION UNLOADABLE ON 2.X AND LOSING INFORMATION.

So don't do that unless you make a backup of the session file first.

bb9cc45cd2 Strip trailing whitespace and fix other whitespace errors (e.g. space/tab mixing). Whitespace changes only. 
Vimmers, try let c_space_errors = 1 in your .vimrc to highlight this kind of stuff in red.  I don't know the emacs equivalent...

e7e071db1a more MIDI editing tweaks ; flip mouse mode buttons around for MIDI so that "object" mode is the most likely mode for both region \& region editing ; frame handle events (from lincoln's region trimming patch) are now handled more explicitly

3ae28868ff remove all MIDI-specific editing modes by making standard work either at object level or within (e.g. notes, etc) ; make tool buttons proxies for GtkActions ; internal sends have their own BufferSet now, instead of using Session ones; don't make internal sends to the monitor bus active when added to the Route

45564fa469 Clean up range menu a bit. Make a couple of range actions happen to all tracks if no tracks nor regions are selected. Stop involvement of the edit point in those same actions as it doesn't seem to make much sense.

955d731fa6 Merge edit and mix groups to just being route groups. Add properties to route groups to decide what things their member routes will share. Allow edits to happen across a route group without its tracks necessarily being selected.
