two birds with one stone: fix "color bug" that occured as soon any route with >1 types of data was created, because a global Gtk::Style was modified to draw text, but fix it by switching drawing of the meter metrics area to cairo, and avoid all that stuff

fix #4004 - AutomationTimeAxisView wasn't deleting its StreamView in its destructor, leaving a dangling set of objects hanging around after route deletion. Worth noting that the playlist, region(s) and source of the deleted track remain in existence, which is almost certainly wrong but i'll file a new bug for that

major, substantive reworking of how we store GUI information (visibility, height) for automation data. old design stored (insufficient) identifying information plus actual data in a GUI-only XML node; new scheme adds GUI data via extra_xml node to each AutomationControl object. reworked public/private methods for showing/hiding TimeAxisView objects; changed labelling of automation tracks to just show the name of the controlled parameter - more info can be viewed in the tooltip for the track headers. NOTE: Session file format ALTERED. No data loss but track visibility may be different than previous ardour3 versions

Typedef all globally used export smart pointer types in one file.

Some of them need to be ordered in STL containers, and thus need
a special comparable wrapper for boost::shared_ptr, defined in
comparable_shared_ptr.h. This also alleviates the typedef hell
present earlier in some export classes :)
Making the timespan pointer comparable should fix bug #4093

somewhat illogical and temporary workaround to the problems with consolidate & bounceable. it turns out that region bouncing never replaces the in-place region, so bounceable() doesn't matter; range bouncing only needs to check bounceable() if we're going to replace material in place and the op is with-processing. reword the error dialog too

Add 'controls' item to plugin insert context menu to always show Ardour generated controls for plugin, even if the plugin has a GUI. In particular, this gives you UI access to presets and the other handy stuff ardour sticks at the top, for inherently broken external UIs which don't allow Ardour to add such things.

Re-fix problems when zero-length MIDI regions are created by an import. Set those regions to have the length of one beat, rather than 1 frame, so that the length doesn't get rounded back down to 0 by frames/beats conversions (bug #4000 ).

Remove unnecessary refresh_location_display_s method. Speed up marker loading somewhat by only setting up marker labels once after load. Fix check on visible status of the location UI so that it is built when opened rather than on load. The location UI is still extremely slow to build with a couple of thousand markers. This fixes #3958 .
